Homework

Term 2 ends soon!

Helpful Hints for parents:

- Math HW is assigned every night on both 7th grade teams

- Students should have assignments written into agenda book, time is given in each class to write them down.

-Every teacher has extra help hours posted , students should make up work they have missed or come for extra help!

EXTRA HELP is available every Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. sharp- room 129.

If your child comes home without their agenda or binders, bring them back to school! Custodians are here, and can help you get access to your child's locker.

1. Spend time checking your child's agenda book or homework website. (They are given time in each class to write down assignments and ask questions.)

2. Set aside a quiet space for homework. Homework time should be dedicated every night- even if you need to break it up into 15 or 30 minute segments. (1.5 hours is average for a 7th grader)

3. Have your child explain what they have done. You don't have to be the homework expert to help them review what they have done. If they wrote an essay, have them read it aloud to you. If they did math homework, have them show you how they solved the problems (they always need to show their work.)

Both teams have new ELA vocabulary lists every other week. Making flashcards is an easy way to learn the words and review them for 5 minutes each night.
